A net and double bottom give a reassuring feeling. The FREE 100 rescue device with real buoyancy of 110 N does the same for swimmers and others who want to be on the safe side. After all, it is not uncommon for swimmers to think they are on the safe side in open water. But suddenly problems arise: in the form of a cramp, for example, or when their strength wanes.

This is the new inflatable rescue device, which resembles a slightly thicker belt when not in use. The flotation device is folded up tightly in a small pocket on a hip belt. Tests have shown that the belt is barely noticeable when swimming. If an emergency occurs, the victim pulls the flotation device out of the pocket in front of the upper body and then directly over the head. A CO2 cartridge is activated by hand. The gas flows into the buoyancy compensator, providing buoyancy and stabilising the waistcoat and person.

The invisible back-up system
This rescue device, which is already widely used on the other side of the Atlantic, is available from specialist retailers. In the USA, lifejackets of this type are among the most popular models. While a lifejacket in the 150N or 275N buoyancy class is essential for most water sports, the FREE 100 offers a good back-up system for swimmers and SUP (stand-up paddling). Here, the waistcoat in the belt provides safety while leaving the upper body free.
