High buoyancy and a strong turning effect packaged in a modern and ergonomic protective cover are the most striking features of the new ALPHA 275 and the ideal protection in combination with heavy weather clothing.
The three-dimensional design of the buoyancy chamber with a large volume in front of the chest area has been developed to counteract the rotational forces of the buoyancy chambers of lifejackets due to inherent buoyancy and trapped air in heavy weather clothing or cold protection suits. This improves the turning effect thanks to the lever principle. The lifejacket, which protrudes about 20 centimetres higher out of the water, is much more visible, especially with an emergency light fitted.

Nevertheless, the weight is low and the freedom of movement is high. This is why the original ALPHA 275 3D has been tried and tested in various commercial areas and is the standard for many water and shipping authorities. The waistcoat is also ideal for everyday use with light clothing.

Compared to conventional buoyancy chambers, the Alpha 275's buoyancy chamber is cut in such a way that, once inflated, it also forms two roughly triangular air cushions that rise almost vertically from the centre of the lifejacket wearer's chest. They stretch upwards - into the "third dimension", hence 3D.
